How To Beat Insomnia For Good

We deal with many INSOMNIA clients at the Mind Change Institute. It's quite a common condition and the Mind Change Method has been very effective in the treatment of insomnia. Insomnia is hard to live with and affects your overall health. 

But contrary to common thought, INSOMNIA isn't really a "sleeping problem". It's more of a "waking problem". Not that you have a hard time waking up, you just have a hard time SHUTTING OFF the "awake mind", more commonly known as the Conscious Mind. 

See, the Conscious Mind is our "thinking mind". It is the part of us we use to try and problem solve, deal with emotions, and make assumptions. We give it A LOT of power. Yet, it really doesn't have the capacity for the amount of power we give it. It is actually the Subconscious Mind that is the POWERHOUSE of our decision making. In fact, it is responsible for 95% of our actions, reactions, thoughts, and emotions. That is why sleep is so important. We falsely believe that we need to "reason" our way out of problems and to "stay in control" so that things don't go bad. In reality, we actually do not think clearly or see situations accurately without the proper filing that takes place inside our Subconscious MInd.

If someone is "doing Insomnia", it's likely because they are trying to "stay in control". They don't realize that the Conscious Mind isn't ever really in control anyway!

The worry that is keeping us up at night, is the same worry that is robbing us of being present and truly living during the day. You need a BREAK! That is what sleep is meant to be.
